Just a note: VT does not currently have an undergrad BME major.

There is a minor and there may be a major by the time he would be eligible to declare one (depending upon SCHEV approval). It also would not be accredited until after the first class (potentially including your son) graduates.

He's looking at excellent engineering programs. I'm confident he'll make the best decision for himself.

At least UVa is not on the list. :-)
